GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT PS – Police Department – Revision petition of Sri Y.Naga Durga Rao, Inspector of Police, Traffic-II Town, Kakinada, against the punishment of ‘Censure’– Allowed – Orders – Issued. HOME (SERVICE-I) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No. 507 Dated: 28/03/2012 Read the following:- 1. From Sri Y.Naga Durga Rao, Inspector of Police, Traffic-II Town, Kakinada, revision petition dated 9.11.2011. 2. From the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, Letter Rc.No.4465/Appeal-3/2011, dated 9.2.2012. o-o-o ORDER: In the reference 1st read above, Sri Y.Naga Durga Rao, Inspector of Police, Traffic-II Town, Kakinada, has submitted a revision petition to the Government, requesting to set aside the punishment of ‘Censure’ awarded by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eluru Range, for the reasons mentioned therein. 2. The Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, in his letter 2nd read above, has informed that Sri Y.Naga Durga Rao, Inspector of Police, was awarded the punishment of ‘Censure’ by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eluru Range, Eluru, vide Proceedings C.No.01/MPR/2011, dated 20.5.2011, for the following delinquency:- “For exhibiting reprehensible conduct, dereliction of duty in filing petitions against his superiors before the Director General of Police and slack supervision over the work of his SIs and Police Stations and further his movements are slow in attending to the scene of offence.” His appeal petition was considered and rejected by the appellate authority i.e. Inspector General of Police, North Coastal Zone, Hyderabad, vide his Proceedings Rc.No.1572/A1/NCZ/2011, dated 20.9.2011. Now, the Individual has submitted a revision petition to the Government. 3. After careful examination of the entire matter, with reference to the records made available, by taking the revision petition into consideration, Government hereby set aside the above said punishment of ‘Censure’ imposed on Sri Y.Naga Durga Rao, Inspector of Police, Traffic-II Town, Kakinada. 4. The Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, is requested to take necessary follow up action in the matter. The records received in the reference 2nd read above are herewith returned and the receipt of the same should be acknowledged.
