From the DGP, AP, Hyd., Rc.No.4816/Appeal-5/2011, dt.16-2-2012 ***** ORDER: In the reference 1st read above, Sri P.Ravinder Reddy, Si of Police, Khammam I –Town PS, Khammam District, has requested the Government to set aside the punishment of PPI for one year, without effect, duly treating his suspension period as on duty. 2. In the reference 3rd read above, the Director General of Police, AP, Hyderabad, has informed that Sri P.Ravinder Reddy, SI of Police, Khammam I-Town PS, Khammam District was dealt with on a P.Rol involving an O.E. for the following delinquency: “ Exhibited gross indiscipline and mis-behavior by involving himself in a criminal case and mis-behaved with the I.O. by abusing and treating the I.O. when the I.O. approached him to effect his arrest and thereby brought disrepute to the Police department”. 3. The SDPO Khammam, who was appointed as an Enquiry Officer to conduct the O.E. against the charged officer held the charges as “Not proved”. Disagreeing with the finding of the Enquiry Officer, Dissenting note along with the copy of the minutes drawn by enquiry officer was supplied to the charged officer by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Warangal Range, Warangal. After following the procedure prescribed in the APCS (CC&A) Rules, 1991, the DIG of Police, Warangal Range, Warangal, awarded the punishment of “PPI for one year without effect on future increments and pension”, besides treating the suspension period from 11-3-2002 to 31-10-2002 as “Not on duty”, vide procdgs dt.3-11-2011. His appeal was considered and rejected by the Appellate authority on 8-12-2011. Aggrieved by these orders, the individual has submitted his revision petition to the Government, within stipulated time. The said petitioner was Accused-5 , in C.C.No.264 of 2010, and the III Addl Judicial Magistrate of I Class, Warangal, in his orders dtd.14-9-2011, has pronounced that the said petitioner is found not guilty for the offence u/Ss 498- A, 406 & 506 of IPC and Secs 3&4 of D.P. Act and is acquitted offences. 4. After careful examination of the entire matter, with the records made available, Government have considered the request of Sri P.Ravinder Reddy, SI of Police, Khammam I –Town PS, Khammam District, and hereby set aside the punishment of “PPI for one year without effect on future increments and pension”, besides treating the suspension period from 11-3-2002 to 31-10-2002 as “Not on duty”, awarded by the DIG of Police, Warangal Range, Warangal, in procdgs C.No. 33/PR/2010, R.O.No.601/2011, dt.3-11-2011. 5. The original O.E. records, received in the references 3rd read above, are herewith returned to the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, and he is requested to acknowledge the receipt of the same to Government. 6. The Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, is requested to take necessary further action in the matter.
